GalenicumSAG is the manufacturing plant of the Galenicum group's business ecosystem, the result of an acquisition from a major pharmaceutical multinational in 2013.
Located in San Agustín del Guadalix, Madrid (Spain), our pharmaceutical production plant has highly qualified personnel, multiple technologies and cutting-edge equipment that allow us to cover a wide range of pharmaceutical forms and formats, responding to the needs of each customer.

A factory for the production of pharmaceutical products is built very close to Madrid for the American group, , Schering - Plough

2009
On 4 November, 2009 Merck & Co. merges with Schering-Plough creating a new company with the name: Merck & Co.

2013
The Galenicum group buys the San Agustín del Guadalix factory to verticalise its value chain and be able to provide better coverage to its customers.

2014
On January, start of activity at the plant under the name of SAG. GMP certified by the AEMPS.

2015
ANVISA certification is obtained to be able to market products in Brazil.

A specific room with small-scale equipment is created for the R&D department.

Significant investments made in improving equipment and facilities.

GILS certification is obtained to be able to market products in Russia. Installation of +2,400 solar panels, covering >25% of energy consumption.
